phroughLoL is organized around two things: Groups and People.
Groups are topic-based communities — Funny, Tech, Books, Meta, and so on. You can: • Post into a group — your post shows up in that group and in the feeds of anyone who's joined it • Join a group — its posts start appearing in your feed, and you show up in the member list
People are everyone else on the site. You can: • Follow someone — their posts (from every group, plus their groupless posts) start appearing in your feed • Post without a group — these land on your profile and in the feeds of your followers
Your feed is just the union of those two: posts from groups you've joined and posts from people you follow. The more you join and follow, the more your feed looks like you.
Head to Explore to find groups and people worth following. For feature announcements, requests, bug reports, and any meta discussion about the site itself, post in Meta.
